An eco-drama for young audiences. A young girl undertakes a hero's journey to deliver a message from the trees to the Bigwigs at the Center of Power. Along the way she meets animal allies and encounters the fearsome Xtractors. The production played for audiences of schoolchildren from across the East Bay.
EARTHCHILD: I’m just one person, and one person can make a big difference. But the world will need saving again and again, for as long as there’s a world. What we really need is a whole new generation of heroes to stand up for the Earth, to defend the soil, the air, the water, the forests, and the oceans. (mini-pause) I wonder if they’re out there….
